The high-stakes sixth season of Suits is finally over and all is apparently right in the world of Pearson Specter Litt. The lawyer drama wrapped its sixth season with a neat and tidy blow on March 1, 2017. The finale, “Character and Fitness” saw Mike Ross, played by Patrick J. Adams going to jail for his frauds and at the end, he appears in front of the ethics committee in order to fight to become a real lawyer despite the fact that he doesn’t have any formal law education.
Jessica Pearson tries to take control of the situation by meeting Anita Gibbs who has taken a pledge to not let Mike Ross become a lawyer but when she throws some shade at her (her past blunders) then Gibbs gets somewhere convinced to change her mind.
Earlier Gina Torres who plays the character of Jessica Pearson was supposed to be cast out as Gina expressed her interest in leaving the show but it appears that she might get a spinoff. The creator of the show, Aaron Korsh, in an exclusive interview with Hollywood Reporter, mentioned that when Jessica returned to the rescue of Ross at the end of the episode, that was the perfect time to consider a separate show for her.
He says: “Obviously I love Jessica, I’m interested in seeing what’s happening with her in the future, and we decided to pursue it. It’s very, very early. We’re in the early process of brainstorming and formulating, but it’s so early that we haven’t even put into place the parameters under which it would logistically work. That has to come before we can even think creatively about it.”
This is indeed a great news for the fans of Jessica Pearson. Suits Season 7 comes this summer. Stay tuned with us to get more updates on the story. Keep up!
