Samsung is hosting an event at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 and is expected to launch their much-awaited tablet. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 has been in the news for a while now, thanks to the numerous leaks and rumours around the tablet. It would be a successor to the last year’s Galaxy Tab S2.
Even though the launch is quite far off, the various leaks have already provided almost all the details of the yet to be launched tablet. It is expected to come in two size variants, one with an 8-inch display and the other one will have a 9.7-inch display. Being a Samsung device, it will be an AMOLED panel and will have a resolution of 2048 x 1536.
Coming to the processor and RAM capacity, the different leaks have been claiming different configurations. According to one source, the tablet will come with Snapdragon 625 processor along with 6 GB of RAM. Another leak hinted an Exynos 8890 or a Snapdragon 820 processor along with 3 GB RAM. Yet another source claimed it to be Exynos 7420 instead of Exynos 8890 and 4 GB of RAM. The latest leak says that the tablet will come with Snapdragon 820 processor and 4 GB of RAM.
For the storage, the tablet will come with 32 GB of internal storage, which would expandable either up to 128 GB or 256 GB. There is a slight confusion over the camera too, one source says the tablet will house an 8MP sensor on the back and a 2MP one on the front, while the other source claims a 12MP one on the back and a 5MP camera on the back.
With the two variants with different screen sizes, the battery capacity will also vary. The 8-inch variant will have 4000 mAh battery, while the 9.7-inch variant will have 5870 mAh capacity. It will also come bundled with an S Pen, but won’t have storage space in the tablet’s body. A fingerprint scanner is also expected to make its way to the tablet.
Samsung has scheduled an event at MWC 2017, on February 26 and the press invites of the event show an outline of a tablet. It is very likely that the company is going to announce the Galaxy Tab S3 at the event, where the details of its pricing and availability will also be announced.
