Samsung and all other companies make their software to go through rigorous testing before pushing them to their devices. But even after taking so many stages of testing there can be several bugs that save themselves from being patched and are only revealed only when the update reaches the consumer’s devices. Something similar is happening with the recently announced Android Nougat update for the Samsung Galaxy devices. Below are some of the bugs and problems that the users are reporting along with the ways you can fix them.
1. Installation Issues
It is pretty common to have some sorts of issues while downloading and installing a new firmware update. If you are stuck while downloading the Nougat update on your Samsung Galaxy device, then you can try to pause or restart it. Your Wi-Fi connection may also be at fault, do check if it is working fine.
If everything seems fine, then you can try restarting the device which tends to fix all such issues. There are situations when the phone freezes and refuses to respond, in such cases, you can hard restart the phone holding the Power and Volume Down button together for 7 seconds. If your device still doesn’t respond, then the thing might just be out of your control, which is very rare to happen, and you must take it to the nearest service centre at the earliest.
2. Battery Drain
Many users had reported about the battery drain problem after their Samsung Galaxy phone was updated to Android Nougat. While there is no direct fix for the issue and only Samsung can come up with a fix, you can try some workarounds. Check for the app that is draining the battery and you can uninstall it or hide it in case it is a system app to stop the phone from draining the battery.
