Moto Z Starts Receiving Android Nougat Update In India

Moto devices are known for receiving the latest Android updates right after the Nexus devices receive it. Even after being acquired by Lenovo, the fact about Moto hasn’t changed. Going on with the legacy, the Moto Z has started to receive Nougat update in India.

Launched a couple of months back, the Moto Z is this year’s flagship from the company. It packs great specifications and features along with vanilla Android experience. The device was also known for its modularity and a range of Moto Mods launched by the company.

It was launched with Android 6.0 Marshmallow and as promised it has started to receive the Android 7.0 Nougat update. The new OS brings a bunch of improvements and new features that will enhance the user experience. When the OS was released by Google, Lenovo had promised that the Moto Z and Moto G4 series will receive the Nougat update by the end of the year and it has done that.

The new system update brings the device firmware version to NPL25.85-15 and the Moto Z will now be Daydream ready too. Some of the Nougat features like the multi-window view, quick switch between apps, work mode, etc. will be available with the latest firmware upgrade. Apart from this Moto also offers its own software features and enhancements, those will also get an update with Nougat.

Launched for a price of Rs. 39,999 in India, the Moto Z is a great flagship device for the given price. Moto Mods make the device even more exciting as there are endless possibilities with which the device can be enhanced. The users can go to Settings > About Phone > System Updates to update it manually, if not automatically prompted.
