NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti vs. GTX Titan X: Specs Shootout

NVidia is probably one of the best graphic card manufacturers in the entire world. Improving their graphic card series, NVidia will soon launch its latest GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. The graphic card is said to pack a lot better features and specifications to offer its users the best experience on their PCs. The GTX 1080 Ti will succeed the GTX Titan X, which is, for now, the best one available in the market.

According to the information from Hardware Battle, the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti will sport a GP102 GPU, 3328 CUDA cores, 208 surface mapping units, 160 render output units and a base clock speed of 1503Mhz. On the other hand, GTX titan X comes with a 28nm GM200-400 GPU, 3072 CUDA cores, 192 surface mapping units, 96 render output units and a base clock speed if 1002MHz.

Considering render output units and CUDA cores, GTX 1080 Ti fares better than the GTX Titan X. Not only this, the new iteration will come with a memory bandwidth of 384 GB/sec, which is far more superior than the GTX Titan X’s 336 GB/sec. The better speed will help in higher execution rate in the upcoming graphic card. The TFOLPS of both the graphic cards is very similar to GTX 1080 Ti’s at 10.8 TFOLPS and that of GTX Titan X’s at 11 TFLOPS.

As it is being reported, the GTX 1080 Ti will be launched for a price of about $1000, while the GTX Titan X is available for the price of $1200. CES 2017 event is quite near and NVidia is expected to release the GTX 1080 Ti there. Pricing would be the thing that the graphic card needs to be watched out for.
