The Electronic Entertainment Expo, or better known as E3, is for the first time going to allow the general public to attend the show. Earlier, the show was open only for a selected number of people either connected to the gaming industry or from the media.
E3 is one of the largest annual trade show that showcases the best of the video games world. It is organised by the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) and is attended by many video games publishers from all over the world to announce and display their games and gaming accessories. Unlike many other similar events related to the gaming industry, E3 has always been a closed event =, but this year’s event will be changing the things.
Though the number of attendees from the public will be very limited and the organisers will be selling just 15,000 passes through their official website starting February 13. The price of the pass has been fixed at $250, while the first 1000 passes will be sold at a discount of $100 at $150. Besides these passes for the general public, the special business and press passes will also be available that will come with some extra perks, including a lounge and much more.
The ESA had done something similar during the last year’s event too by announcing E3 Live. It was a separate event, that was completely free to the public and ran alongside the E3 itself. But this year’s main event will be made open for the public. Though ESA hasn’t guaranteed that the public access will be for the next year’s event too, so if you wish to see the E3, this might be your only chance.
The tickets can be grabbed from E3’s website starting February 13. The event will be held from June 13 to 15, 2017, in LA.
