A few days back, AMD Ryzen 7 processors were made available for pre-order, by mistake of course and the listings later taken down. But they revealed some very important details about the yet to be launched processor series. Each processor came with two versions and had a little price difference. Nothing was confirmed then, but it is now.
Along with the highly-anticipated Ryzen series, AMD will also be releasing the high performance and improved Wraith coolers. The coolers have been designed to complement the Ryzen CPUs for an enhanced stock cooling experience. The coolers can support a max thermal design of 140W and they are good enough for the AMD Ryzen series that tops at 95W.
The design of the coolers is based on the original Wraith cooler, but have been improved with probably a better fan for a refined experience. AMD has made two variants of Wraith coolers – Wraith Max and Wraith Spire. With the former going for 140W and the latter sticking with 95W.
The leaked picture shows that the Wraith Max cooler will be reserved for the high-end Ryzen 7 1800X and 1700X series, while the lower end variants will receive the Wraith Spire coolers. The buyers will have the option to choose if they want to buy the stock cooler or not, hence the two variants of each processor and a price difference of $20.
You must also know that the coolers will have RGB lighting like it is clearly visible in the image below. Another image shows the retail box of the Ryzen 7 series processors. AMD is going to launch a total of 17 different models and all of them will be fully unlocked, ready to be overclocked right out of the box.
