It seems that AMD is getting ready for another mega launch of 2017 with its Radeon RX Vega graphics card. Pictures of a video have been leaked which looks like some sort of promotional video for the upcoming GPU. The pictures show us how the RX Vega GPUs will end up looking like when they finally make to the market.
There is a significant amount of information already available for the Radeon RX Vega and we have already told you how it will outperform the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. AMD is expected to launch the GPU during the later days of May or early June and it is evident from the video that the company is already working on its marketing.
First leaked on Chiphell, the Radeon RX Vega branding is clearly visible in one of the images of the backplate. The red accents on white colour base along with black detailing give the GPU a sophisticated look. The image mentions “it’s got a soul” and we will have to figure out what AMD actually means with this. Taking a dig at Nvidia, maybe?
This video could be a teaser video that AMD might have been planning to release before the launch which isn’t too far away. If this is the case and the images are genuine, then they might have been sneakily taken by someone from AMD’s marketing team. The quality of the pictures isn’t good at all, though.
To remind you of what we know about the RX Vega, the GPU will be made on the 14nm FinFET architecture and will have 8GB of HBM2 memory with 2048-bit bus width. It will contain 64 Compute Units which possibly means 4096 Stream Processors. The internal codename used for the GPU is GFX9.
