While the rumour mill is churning out more and more information about the upcoming Surface Pro 5, Microsoft has now hinted about the arrival of the new tablet. Microsoft is giving hefty discounts on its existing Surface Pro 4 series to clear out the inventory, making way for the new model.
Some of the models of the Surface Pro 4 have got a discount of $200. Two models of the Surface Pro 4, one with Intel Core i5 and 128 GB storage and the second one with Intel Core m3 and 128 GB storage, will be receiving the said discount. This will bring down the price of the former to $799 and the latter to $699 from their original retail price of $999 and $899 respectively.
The Surface Pro 4 is a one of a kind tablet that offers the portability of a tablet while providing the power of a laptop. Coming with a 12.3-inch display sporting a resolution of 2736 x 1824, the tablet runs Windows 10 Pro out of the box. The battery life of the Surface Pro 4 is exceptionally good and its Solid State Drive offers blazing fast transfer speeds and boot time.
Unlike its predecessor, the Surface Pro 4 retailed along with the Surface Pen and it can be safely docked to the tablet itself. Office 365 30-day trial is also included with the device. While the next iteration – Surface Pro 5 is expected to launch soon, the Surface Pro 4 still makes a great product is now much more value for money after these discounts.
This is not the first time that the tablet is being sold at a discount. In January, Microsoft gave a discount of $100 on the model mentioned above with Intel Core i5. The offer was available until January 28 and brought the price down to the original price of Core m3 variant.
