A lot of hot launches and announcements are expected to be made during the 50th anniversary of the Consumer Electronics Show. It is scheduled between January 5 to 7, 2017 in Las Vegas and a lot of laptops and tablets are expected from industry leaders, including Dell and Lenovo. Here is what all we can expect-
The tech giant has already confirmed that a new convertible laptop will be launched at the CES 2017. It will be based on the existing Dell XPS 13 laptop, which comes with InfinityEdge display. Both the XPS 13 and XPS 15 come with a unique near bezel-less display that significantly reduces the laptop’s footprint.
Dell has also said to announce the convertible variant of the Dell Latitude 13 business laptop. Besides these, the company will showcase its vision for future desktops and is rumoured to announce Smart Desk, a PC with a second screen and a peripheral.
Lenovo too will be coming up with a lot of laptops, most of them will be an update to its existing ThinkPad line. As many as nine laptops are expected to be announced and their pricing will start at $674 going up to $1264. All the laptops will be launched sporting latest Intel Core processors, Precision Touchpad, MilSpec durability and bloatware-free Windows 10.
LG, obviously, won’t be launching a laptop, but it will be launching a new monitor for the PCs. At CES 2017, LG 32UD99 will be announced. It will come with a 32-inch display with 4K resolution (3840 x 2160) and will have HDR10 standard compatibility. The display will support USB Type-C and will display 95 percent of P3 colour gamut.
Last year’s CES saw Samsung announce its Galaxy TabPro S, a Windows-based tablet. This year too, Samsung is rumoured to announce not one but two Windows 10 tablets. No other detail about the tablets, but the company is said to announce a variety of audio products.
